Who speaks for you? Who speaks for us? Encourage awareness for America's growing mixed-race population!

A new magazine addressing the mixed race experience is under development. The magazine is primarily geared towards creating a resource for mixed race/multiracial individuals and organizations. We would like to encourage anyone to inquire about obtaining copies for their organization, or contributing their talents to the magazine. The magazine's premier issue includes political analysis, historical background, poetry, and photography among other topics.

An intelligent, comprehensive voice for the rising generation of our country's mixed race population is a necessity. We have a unique perspective and voice that needs to be heard. We need a voice that unites us while it informs the rest of America.

Please e-mail me at the address below for additional information regarding possible subscription, questions, or if you would like to contribute. A reply does not require any obligation! We only want to get a mailing list of interested college students and organizations. Second, please include an e-mail and street address where you can be reached over the summer. Finally, send me the e-mail addresses of anyone else who may be interested in information or you can forward this message. As of right now, this is the most important action you can take.

Our first issue will most likely be available in January, 1999. Thank you, and remember, we need a voice to represent us!

Friends:

First of all, congratulations on putting together a really fine web page. I think your efforts are well intentioned and pure.

I am a 30+ year civil rights activist, a Behavioral Scientist and a white man who is very disturbed by conditions here in America at this present time.

For over thirty years, I defied my own family, friends and members of my "race" (a concept I do not accept, there is only one "race," the human race) to march and work for the Human Dignity and Equal Rights of all people, regardless of color etc etc..

I am presently saddened and quite angry that, after all of these years and the hard work and self-sacrifice of so many good men and women, many of those FOR whom we worked and marched - for no benefit of our own and a great deal of liability and pain - have become just as "racist" as any Klu Klux Klanner or Neo-Nazi I have ever met.

Martin Luther King Jr. and all of the other great civil rights leaders, of ALL colors, preached and worked for one thing - A SINGLE STANDARD for all Americans. Now, that wonderful ideal has been perverted into a new DOUBLE STANDARD that favors those who call themselves "minorities." Where there is One Race and One Standard - there is One People and there are no "minorities." We have fallen into groupism and racism of the worst possible kind.

In this New Racisim, there is also a New "Nigger." That is, most patently and blatantly, the white American man. Keep on reading - I have not converted to the Klan!

When the Bank of America offers "special" low rate loans to women and minorities - who is left out? When black people, brown people, red and yellow people ( and probably blue people) can say the most degrading things about white American men with immunity and impunity - but the smallest deviation from "political correctness" on the part of a white American man is immediately decried as "racist" - my friend, we have the same double standard that I fought against in the deep South and other pockets of racial hatred.

I notice on the opening page of your web page - you, yourself, are careful to make the point that this is NOT a "white people's" page. Would you have to do that if it were a black people's page or a latino page or an asian page?

Further, I notice that you say (roughly paraphrased) that this page is to help white people know where they fit in the "larger" America. A sad thing. Dear friend, according to the last census, white people still comprise nearly 72% of the population of America. White people ARE the larger America. Yet, we must pretend that it is ther other way around or be "tagged" as "racist."

Is this any different than the "nigger" of years gone by having to bow his head when he walked by white people in certain parts of the United States? I say not and Martin and the other real leaders of the civil rights movement would stand shoulder to shoulder with me on that. They and we all set out to work for a United America in which all people were BROUGHT UP to a high place. Now, as power inevitably corrupts, those who consider themselves to be "minorities" want to "get even" by turning their frustration and hatred against the white American man - just as the Klu Klux Klanner of old would go out and kick a "nigger" when he was frustrated or angry.

Slavery, brother, the white men of America are the not the only peoples on the face of the earth to own slaves. From ancient Eqypt to modern day Africa, the taking and owning of slaves has been more the RULE than the exception. Do you know that there are tribes in Africa that still take and own slaves to this very day. White American men ARE, however, only peoples on the face of the earth who went to war, brother against brother, to END slavery! The agitation propagandists may say what they will to try to pervert this fact - it stands on its own.

But, what of Equal Opportunity. Has there EVER been equal opportunity among or between white American men? I say not! We have never seen such a thing. We stand in long lines and walk away without jobs. We are refused service by any business that wants to do so. And, so it has always been.

By creating "protected" classes of Americans and hyphenated Americans - we have KILLED The Dream of Martin Luther King Jr and all the dreams of those who see One Humanity and seek Human Dignity for all.

The next time you are watching television (and remembering that white American men make up a majority of the male population of America) see how many white American men you see in the advertisements. Then, out of the tiny percentage you see, please note the "one-down" degraded positions they play. Then, in "propaganda busting" style, IMAGINE a black or latino or woman or asian or indian hunkered down with a piece of cheese on his or her nose being commanded by a DOG! See if that picture doesn't turn your stomach. Yet, because it is a white American man - virtually the most viciously attacked and degraded segment of American society today - you accept it.

In New York schools teachers systematically and with official sanction, work to REDUCE THE SELF-ESTEEM of young white American men so that "minorities" will not feel inferior. As a result of this and a powerful onslaught of (predominantly false) propaganda pounded into their heads through all their school years, young white American men are virtually the most self-hating group of people in America today.

This might, on the surface, seem to be "justice" to those of twisted mind and heart. to others, it may seem to be a good way to make sure that things like the Klan and Nazis do not rise to power. EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE IS TRUE.

The beat down, self-hating majority it EXACTLY what prevailed in Germany that set the stage for Adolph Hitler to rise to power. These same conditions are being set up here, in America among young white men TODAY - via the double standard and blatant "racism" of the so-called "minorities."

Think not, then try putting the counterpart of "Black is Beautiful" - "White is Beautiful" - on the cover page of your web page WITHOUT putting any other disclaimer or waiver (such as "all people are beautiful").

I know, you shudder at the thought. Ask yourself "why," if we are all equal is it NOT racist to say "Black is Beautiful" but racist to say (or think) "White is Beautiful"? Then, perform that observational exercise on evening television ads. Then, look around and open your eyes and your mind and see what is going on right under your very nose.

My friend, I think that your intentions and those of your friend are admirable and praise worthy. I think you are on the right track and praise you for your efforts. But, given these things, is it any wonder that the Klan and Nazi party are growing faster today than they ever have? They say "give a scoundrel enough rope and he will hang himself." If the present trend of abuse and power mongering continues to rise among "minorities" in this country, I am convinced that there will be a violent backlash that will set civil rights back to 100 years.

It is my absolute conviction that there IS only One Race - the Human Race. It comes in all sizes, colors and configurations. And, there CAN be only One People in America. The Dream can become Reality. But ONLY when there is One Standard with Human Dignity for all Americans and all of us ARE fully Americans.

Thank you both for your ecellent (if somewhat, wonderfully, naive) efforts. My formula for progress in living is this: Hold on to your innocence while overcoming your ignorance.

first of all i want to tell you who am i , i am deaf white man and i like women and i am not prejudice, kkk,skinhead,hater. one more thing i am little weak on my english because i am deaf. now,i want to share with all white men it is time for us to open our eyes and wake up!

when there is alots of black people saying that white men are not good enough or we are racism against black people, they may be right but we need to learn to stand up our rights to say they are doing to us either but what hurt us is that lot of white women are going out with black men and i asked those white women why do lot of white women like go black men? guess what? they said black men are better than white men ,and bigger than white men (i don't mean to said rude or nasty thing to said but if i can't said those and how are we going to said our rights?) and when those white women said about that , oh boy it really make me feel like very low manhood and i don't see why we can't complian about that problem and i keep doing lot of studies ask some of black women they said same thing and now go out look everwhere how much do you see black men keep taking our white women and other thing lot of white men have hard time to get some black women and some black people said you are prejudice and now tell me why those black men get mad at me, if i go out with black women and they were very upset and they try to tell black women some thing about white men background and then those black women changed their mind and never go out with white men and i don't get i still call that black men are racist!!!!!!!!! and i learned more about white women , why they do this or did this ,when those lot of white girls having a problem with their family and those white girls trying to get even with their parents for an example if their father are not treat them right or keep tell them not to go out with black people and now look those white girl are going with black men for fun sex. if those parents keep telling those white girls not to go with black men and later they think, why not i try go out with black men? and that how it happened. in other thing when any white girls heard that black men are bigger than white men, they will want to try it ,anyway and other thing about dirty movie(xxx-rated) when those black men on that movie and hove intercourse with white women and then when black men are done then white men turn it was so smaller than black men and i call that racial slur and on other side when white men having sex with white women , while there is no black men in there and those white men were bigger and i don't get it and i still call that racial slur against white men and one more thing when i see white men have sex with black women most of them are so small! and i kown that size are not important but i stll call that racism!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if black men are dog that fine they have more fun and why not white men too? something else too, when i go to any store or movie or jobs but tell you i see more white women were on picture of advertise on anything to sell or on tv , but why not black women do more? it don't sound right when those black people said those white men are complaining about black men with white women and are there black men trying to stop us to go out with black women ? if black men are trying to stop black women to go with white men and i still call that black men are racism!!!!!!!!!!!!! and it is time to move on and our rights!! two more thing if you white men are going out with black women becareul when black men try to talk to those black women about your color of your white skin remember not all black men are like that.

Your Jyhad against white people is disgusting . It quite simply is discrimination. Titles like " Decentering Whiteness" and " the Whiteness Papers" are personally offensive to me. Instead of finding solutions,the multicultural crowd simply blames all white men of being racists.You blame institutions. You blame America. Take responsibility for your actions. Multiculturalism portrays American history and even all of Western civilization as nothing but misery and racist,sexist, capitalist oppression. This home page needs more advertisement. I like the logo and the idea. Many instances, I find whites taking a back seat to racial issues, acting as if they are responsible for racism, when in reality whites are part of the diologue.

I applaud your web site and I will share it with many of my colleagues! I'm a tired African American who has lived and dealt with the problems of living and surviving in a Racist Society! Does White America Really want Things To Get Better? The record says NO! Organizations like yours are downplayed in America! You see, People of Color realize that It Will Take a Great Deal of Responsible Leadership from the White Community to Improve Relations In America. White Anti-Racist Organizations are downplayed and dismissed within the white race as well as people of color. This is a Historical Trend! Children are more informed about organizations like the "KKK" then organizations like yours. There is a nasty force within the white race that wants to keep white supremacy alive. This is why most white Americans can dismiss Racism so easily. The American System of Racism is created and nurtured by white people. Until there is a force in the white race that can take control and do something about that nasty sickness of white supremacy, bigotry and racism WE WILL HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO! I'm thankful that I found your web site because most of children of color believe that all white people don't care.

When I was writing it I joked with one of my professors that I was positioning myself to play a role in the emerging field of "White Studies". Little did I imagine! :-)

About two, no maybe three, years ago my daughter adamantly told me, "Dad, I ain't white." Right away I informed her that this was incorrect. It is I told her, "Dad, I am not white."

In my mind she has the right to choose:at least one of her parents is not, in current terms, white. I, the white parent, concede that I have no right, nor desire, to define her racially, but neither would I agree that her mother has that right. She is, after all, not the offspring of some racial union.

I do not know what it means to be white, nor am I convinced that being white has a well-defined meaning. Claiming to be color-blind strikes me as pure evasion. The significance of race, at least of racial beliefs, in the United States cannot be ignored. However, insisting that people be conscious of color, seems only a tad less evasive, than claiming to be color-blind. I am convinced that I have been blinded by race. White racial privilige does exist, and I have and do benefit from it. But all privilige is not alloted along racial lines. Citizens, and and perhaps a residents, of this country benefit from national privilige. Members of the upper classes, including acadmeics, benefit from class privilige. I benefit from priviliege given to me, and taken by me, as a male.

I am an American. I am a white. I am a male. I am a worker. I was born an American, white, and male, and some power above, God for the religious, or that curved bell those like Mr. Murray that are predisposed to genetic argorance, punished me by putting me in the working class.
