One purpose of the Center is to reach out to white Americans who have not thought of the implications of being white. Whether it be personal discussions about race, discussion of "white studies" as a field of study, or discussion of social change agendas, the Center for Study works to create forums for discussing whiteness. Consistent with this purpose, the Center tries to be responsive to media inquiries.

Since our inception, we have received many contacts from print, broadcast and electronic media. Some contacts have resulted in stories in which the Center has been featured. Other inquiries included requests for background information on whiteness, requests for referrals to other scholars and practitioners in the field, and sometimes simply a request to talk about this new area with no particular story in mind.

Regardless of the nature of the request, we do our best to meet it. Below is a selection of media articles and shows where representatives from the Center have appeared.
