Writings from college students concerning whiteness and white culture.

One of the goals of the presentation was to explore race through a limited number of primary and secondary sources. The class selected and read three brief passages from their class materials. The passages then served as a springboard for discussion amongst the students. Go! If biology has nothing to do with race, then why am I white? Go! Since most people don’t fall under every "oppressor" category, most people conceivably share a dual role of "oppressor" and "victim." Go! I said basically that having grown up in Corvallis, I'm afraid of black people, and what could I do to get over it? Go! |
